We want all of our students to feel comfortable on any dance floor and with any dance partner. With over 20 years of experience, we are confident that our experienced instructors will help you achieve your dance goals and discover a newfound passion for ballroom dancing.

At Ballroom Boutique, our instructors can make you a comfortable social dancer or a competitive hobbyist by teaching you today’s most popular dances. SEVRIN SHAPIACHAN

Originally from Poland, Sevrin has over 20 years of competitive ballroom dance experience. He is the 10 Dance Champion and has participated in over 300 dance competitions around the world. As the instructor who taught stars like Kirstie Alley in preparation for Dancing With the Stars and Dancing With the Stars: All-Stars, Sevrin is renowned in both the international and American styles of dance. He has been dancing and competing in the International Standard and Latin divisions since the age of 10.

After moving to the US, he taught and competed in both American Smooth and American Rhythm, becoming Ballroom Boutique Dance Studio World Future and Rising Stars Rhythm Champion.

Not only does his dancing get the attention of both students and judges, but he also has a personality that will keep you laughing while you learn. His ability to teach the hardest patterns and techniques in a simple way has his students always coming back for more.

He teaches from beginner to advanced levels, and specializes in competitive dancing for amateur women, making them look sexy and confident on the dance floor. In addition to his dancing and teaching background, Sevrin has the rare quality of choreographing show routines for his students that let his student’s style, personality, and skill shine.

All of our dance instructors are highly skilled and trained to help you learn in our invigorating dance studio. Hailing from around the world, our teachers are award-winning professionals and gifted educators, many of whom are still active in competitive dance themselves. Most of our teachers have passed rigorous exams given by the Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dance as well as the Ballroom Boutique Dance Studio Curriculum certification.

I cannot say enough positive things about the classes and my instructor Sevrin Shapiachan. Sevrin is a masterful teacher, a wonderful group leader and runs a great venue. He is such a wonderful and sweet person who will make you fall in love with ballroom dancing. The classes are such a blast and so much fun. Sevrin and the team are teaching different dances each week (Salsa, Tango, Cha-Cha, Rumba and waltz). They are able to teach the fundamentals of movement in a way that is logical and where the student feels comfortable in their classes from the first moment. I gave a Christmas gift of dance lessons to my fiance. We are true beginners. We have had lessons with Sevrin since January, 2019. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Ballroom Boutique. Our instructor, Sevrin has a wonderful and funny personality style that makes the lessons fun and not intimidating. Sevrin explains and demonstrates dance moves in a very clear manner that have made it relatively easy for us to learn. The studio is clean and well appointed, but not "too far" over the top. We have been attending Ballroom Boutique Dance Studio for about one year now. We started going because my fiancé’ always wanted to dance and I thought this would be a fun activity we could do together and enjoy dancing while attending functions. One of our biggest accomplishments is that Sevrin choreographed our wedding dance, which we mastered in time for our special day. One of the most important things that matters to us is that the feeling of the Reston location is VERY PERSONABLE. Everybody from staff to students are always warm and welcoming.
